In the role of HR Generalist you'll play a pivotal part on our Human Resource team. The Human Resources Generalist will support HR strategy and execution for all Safran Cabin Water & Waste Systems (WWS) division sites. The individual in this position serves as one of three primary HR focal for daily support as well as assigned HR initiatives and activities for approximately 500 site employees. This individual administers policies relating to all phases of human resources activity by performing the duties below.

- Provides a broad range of HR support for achieving business objectives to include talent management, organizational effectiveness, employee engagement and performance management, as well as ensuring legal compliance.
- As a member of the Safran Cabin and WWS HR Team, provides full service HR support and drive a culture that supports Safran Cabin's Group Values.
- Provides labor relations support, interacting effectively with Labor representatives to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes for the company and employees.
- Manage and Process weekly and biweekly payroll groups in accordance with state and federal laws.
- Ensures effective recordkeeping of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
- Counsels and advises management in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and harassment issues.
- Advises supervisors and managers in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
- Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
- Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
- Recruit, interview, and select employees to fill vacant positions. Supports new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
- Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
- Conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
- Serve as Designated Employee Representative (DER) leading FAA DOT Drug and Abatement Program for WWS.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Work Experience: A minimum of 3 years' experience working in a Manufacturing, Operations, and Quality environment is essential. Union experience is preferred.
- Education and/or Experience - Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred, with a preferred concentration in Human Resources, Organization Development, or Training. Current knowledge in state and federal labor laws including, OSHA and EEO laws.
- Language Skills – Bilingual (Spanish) preferred. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business literature. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Reasoning Ability - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of ADP Human Resource systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations - PHR, CP, SPHR, or SCP strongly desired.
